Wondering if anyone has experience swiching from a non-foldable ROPS to a foldable ROPS on a new L3010 HST. I recently purchased this tractor but my dealer only had the non-folding in stock. I have not yet climbed under to see what's involved but thought if anyone has experience I may save myself some headaches. Thanks in advance for any help/pointers. Tim T.

Tim;
I mounted the Rops on a JD but not on a Kabota. The only thing you need to look at is the bolts. Often safety equipment will use strange torque heads or off sizes, Whitworth for example to prevent people tampering with it.

I vaguely remember a story, but so vaguely that it should be considered rumor. What I heard was that an axle housing was cracked on a Kubota by tightening the ROPS mounts. I can't recall more details except that torque specs and a tightening sequence ere mentioned. At any rate, installation of a ROPS may be more than just tightening down the bolts. ....
